As a front line HighScope teacher,I would like to talk some more about artistic creation.
在高瞻课程PDR环节
孩子们会用表征绘画的方式完成自己的计划。
In the PDR part of the HighScope course,children will complete their plans by representational painting.
在计划单中，画出自己想要去工作的区域，画出自己将要做的事情，画出自己想和哪位同伴一起玩，时常也会把老师画进去。
In the plan list,they will draw the areas where they want to work,the things they will do,the companions they want to play with,and quite often,the teachers also appear in the drawings.
高瞻教室里有五大区域，艺术区总是最热闹的一个地方。
There are five large areas situated in the HighScope classroom,the art area of our class is always one of the busiest places.
不光是常用的艺术创作材料（如颜料、画笔、橡皮泥等）能激发孩子的创作欲望。
Not only are there common art materials(such as paint,brushes,silly putty,etc.)that can stimulate a child's creative desire.
那些废旧的物品（如纸箱、酒瓶、毛线等）和自然材料（如干花草，鹅卵石、贝壳等）也能让孩子充满创作的热情。
Old items(such as cartons,bottles,wool,etc.)and natural materials(such as dried flowers,pebbles,shells,etc.)that can fill a child with creative passion are also incorporated in the art area.
在读写区，对幼儿园的孩子，与其说“写字”,不如说“画字”。
In the reading and writing area,children in kindergarten are more likely to draw characters than to write.
孩子们画出自己的名字，画出数字、字母，画出自己才能读懂的符号。
They draw their own names,numbers,letters,symbols that only they can read.
画出在绘本上看到的好玩的事物，有的还会画出绘本的续集。
They draw the funny things they see in picture books,and some of them even make sequels to picture books.
在班级里，孩子们设计制作了属于自己独一无二的观察记录本。

In the drinking water record area,let the children draw their own identifying images so that they feel drinking water is an interesting act,this is the charm of art.
K4-A的小朋友，在PDR工作时间，看到艺术区投放了新材料——树皮。
K4-A's child,during PDR time,sees a new material in the art area--bark.
Andy问：“老师，这个是做什么用的呀，它黑乎乎的怎么用啊？”
Andy asked,"Teacher,what is this for?It’s so dark,how does it work?"
老师说：“宝贝，你可以拿起来，摸一摸，看一看，或者闻一闻，或许你会有新的想法呀。”
I said,"Honey,you can pick it up,touch it,look at it,or smell it.Maybe you'll come up with something new."
Andy高兴地大声说道：“这里可以是啄木鸟的家！”
Andy happily shouted,"This could be a woodpecker's home!"
就这样，六个小朋友在艺术区，用树皮，纸黏土等多元的材料，创作了《啄木鸟捉虫子》。
In this way,six children in the art area,using bark,paper clay and a variety of other materials,created their own interpretations of"Woodpecker Catching Bugs".
读写区，孩子们在PDR环节，经过多天的努力，完成了自己的英文字母小书。
In the reading and writing area,the children finished their own little English alphabet book during the PDR segment after many days of hard work.
在高瞻学前课程八大领域中
创造性艺术占据了重要的一方阵地，其中包括了视觉艺术、音乐、律动、假装游戏、艺术欣赏。
Creative art occupies an important position in the eight fields of the HighScope preschool curriculum,which are visual art,music,rhythm,pretend play,and art appreciation.
视觉艺术指幼儿通过二维和三维艺术，表达与表征自己的观察、想象和感受。
Visual art refers to children's expression through two-dimensional and three-dimensional art to represent their own observations,imagination and feelings.

高瞻的教室里，孩子们从容大胆，天马行空，无拘无束地涂鸦创作。
In my classroom,the children are unhurried,unrestrained,and free to doodle anything they can think of.
Happy children love to draw,HighScope children are very happy.
幸福的孩子爱画画，高瞻的孩子很幸福。
